Wich SCSI is this? Can I connect my DLT 8000 there?

Hi forumers,

I4m just a bit confused here.

A printout of my E10000 domain:

     Bus Freq
Brd Type MHz Slot Name Model
--- ---- ---- ---------- ----------------------------
--------------------
 3 SBus 25 0 QLGC,isp/sd (block) QLGC,ISP1000
 3 SBus 25 1 SUNW,qfe SUNW,sbus-qfe
 3 SBus 25 1 SUNW,qfe SUNW,sbus-qfe
 3 SBus 25 1 SUNW,qfe SUNW,sbus-qfe
 3 SBus 25 1 SUNW,qfe SUNW,sbus-qfe
 4 SBus 25 0 QLGC,isp/sd (block) QLGC,ISP1000
 4 SBus 25 0 QLGC,isp/sd (block) QLGC,ISP1000U
 4 SBus 25 1 SUNW,qfe SUNW,sbus-qfe
 4 SBus 25 1 SUNW,qfe SUNW,sbus-qfe
 4 SBus 25 1 SUNW,qfe SUNW,sbus-qfe
 4 SBus 25 1 SUNW,qfe SUNW,sbus-qfe
 4 SBus 25 1 SUNW,socal/sf (scsi-3) 501-5266
 5 SBus 25 0 QLGC,isp/sd (block) QLGC,ISP1000U
 5 SBus 25 0 QLGC,isp/sd (block) QLGC,ISP1000
 5 SBus 25 1 SUNW,qfe SUNW,sbus-qfe
 5 SBus 25 1 SUNW,qfe SUNW,sbus-qfe
 5 SBus 25 1 SUNW,qfe SUNW,sbus-qfe
 5 SBus 25 1 SUNW,qfe SUNW,sbus-qfe

Just one of the SCSI interfaces are used to connect a D1000. My boot disks are
placed there.

I could4t find detailed information regarding the "QLGC,ISP1000" or
"QLGC,ISP1000U" on sun handbooks.

The information that are written to the card (wich I was able to reed) says
that both are wide scsi and the "U" sands for "ultra".

What I need is to connect a HP DLT8000 to one of these SCSI interfaces.

The drive documentation says:

"Two interfaces are available: Low Voltage Differential (LVD)/Single-Ended
and
High Voltage Differential (HVD) SCSI-2."

My doubts:

1 - Are my SCSI interfaces compatible with the drive? If not, is there any
kind of conversor available?
2 - There are risks *hot* attaching the drive to the interface, and then
"drvconfig; disks" ?
3 - Where can I find a SCSI compatibility matrix (if such thing exists)?
4 - Where is the detailed information about the damn card on Sun Handbooks?

Thanks in advance,

Filipe Litaiff
