vfstab question

I was wondering why in /etc/vfstab that the entries for / and /var (and
probably /usr, but I don't partition /usr) have "no" in the 'mount at
boot' column, but other partitions have a yes. I mean, they're being
mounted at boot aren't they?

What am I missing?
