Help with sendmail on Sol9

Iv just installed solaris 9 on a ultra sparq and im having problems
setting up sendmail.

all I really want to do with sendmail is to get it to send nitely reports
to my company email address which resides on another mail server ..

i can fire up the deamon using the startup scripts in /etc/rc2.d
S88sendmail start ...however i get the following errors when it tries
so send me mail.

Apr 9 14:20:01 toolbox sendmail[14286]: [ID 801593 mail.alert]
i39IK1Zo014286: Losing ./qfi39IK1Zo014286: savemail panic
Apr 9 14:20:01 toolbox sendmail[14286]: [ID 801593 mail.crit]
i39IK1Zo014286: SYSERR(root): savemail: cannot save rejected email
anywhere

any help is very appreciated
