Here we go....
I have 12 /18Gb hard disks ..that I need to use for a webapplication(Too much internet activity) using Raid 5.
I will use MySql /Apache...
Here come my doubts...
1.I am planning to use one for the OS and one its mirror...Is this right...
2.I am planning to do Raid 5 on the rest .
3.I plan to create Database replicas on three of them for 100Mb each..Is this correct..
4.How much space should I allot on the 10 disks for the
a) Root
b)Swap (If its a web application with lot of activity does it change?)
c)The rest will go for the application (seventh slice) ..Is this correct?
d) Any other slice needed?
5) Any other special care to take whcih I may have missed?
