Im am running out of ideas and am hoping that someone can help me resolve this issue.
I am running solaris 9 and recently built up a new v440 sol 9 and migrated an oracle database from a e450 to the v440.
The migration went fine however am having trouble resolving an ip address issue.
The new v440 is using "192.168.0.11" it comes up fine I can use xterm throught the network to get to it. However somewhere in the network it the sever is finding that the ip address is assigned to a box that is no longer on the network and thus the oracle managment tools will not work It cant "see" the correct name/ipadress.
I am using nis + :( for authentication.
here is what I have looked at
dns server entries
tried clearing arp
removed the entry for the old box in nisplus
any thoughts about what I may have overlooked would be appreciated
