550 sendmail + relaying Denied

Hi all,

I am having a problem.I put a antivirus SMTP gateway(which
scans for virus) in between our firewall and email server.
packets for port 25 are port forwarded to SMTPAntivirus box.
email server is sendmail.
Now the mails are reaching the Antivirus SMTP gateway but is
not relayed to the sendmail server.It is saying "relaying denied.

so what configuration changes shld be done in sendmail to accept
mail from that SMTP gateway machine.

I have included the IP of AVSMTPgateway in relay-domains.

please help
