Ok somehow I set this up and it worked for a short period. I installed Solaris 8
and set it up for dhcp. Afterit was first installed it connected to the internet
fine. However I wanted to setup Nis and Dns on this machine and needed it to
have a static address so I did a sys-unconfig and set it up as static. I set up
all the same information as I had when it was dhcp. I can still ping the Windows
XP computer that has the shared internet connection. But I can no longer use the
shared connection. Does anyone know what I can do to get this machine to use the
shared internet. I even tried going back to dhcp but now it doesn't work with
that either. I have another machine running linux and windows and they can both
use that connection just fine.
