how can i reset terminal

Hi Guru:

when i read a file like a binary( not a plain text) then terminal
print unreadable character

so when i use CDE in console, i used to click
optin-reset-softreset

but when i connect in telnet how can i do?

or what is
the command about softreset

OS is Solaris2.6
