SUMMARY

Thanks to Jim Vandevegt and Hichael Morton for responding. Took
Hichael's advice and checked the archives (should have done that first)
and found that I can go through the RSC port serial console to get to
the OK prompt. Jim said the same thing. Will try tomorrow.

Thanks for replying.

Subject: console port redirection on V480

Hi all,

We inherited (3) V480's and cannot get to an OK prompt off the ttya
port. We can put it in diag mode via the switch and get output but then
it just stops when diags is done. Our guess is that the previous owners
redirected console ouput to the RSC port. According to Sun doc you just
need to do this to redirect back to ttya port:

ok setenv input-device ttya
ok setenv output-device ttya
ok setenv diag-out-console false
ok reset-all

Question is, do you do this via the RSC port, because as far as we can
tell we cant get to an OK prompt via the ttya port.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
