Changing color depth

Hi Gurus,

I have few Sun Blade workstations with Creator 3D and Expert 3D display
cards. I want to change the color depth on these cards to 24 bits. Unlike
other cards, ffbconfig and ifbconfig doesn't have -depth switch to change
the depth setting. Any idea how to change and also how to test different
color depths ?
