Hi all,

The backup problems keep mouting up !!! :)

I started a remote backup from a cron on Friday to backup a server of only about 12gb, and it is STILL going on Monday !!! I don't know why it is going so slow. A local backup works fine, and quite fast, but backing up remote server to the tape drive is unbelievably slow. The ufsdump line in the script is -

ufsdump 0uf richemont1:/dev/rmt/0n / >> $LOG_FILE 2>&1

Backup started - Friday 19th March, 11:42am
backup still going - Monday 22nd March, 10:35am

Can anyone help here ? Not getting any answers from archives/google

 Thanks in advance
Tis
