Hi all,
I am running from cron a backup_script to backup my servers .....
Crontab entry -
00 17 * * 4 /usr/local/backup/backup_script > /dev/null 2>&1
Output of ps -fe | grep backup
ps -fe | grep backup
root 4439 21375 0 17:10:36 pts/4 0:00 grep backup
root 4175 4173 0 17:00:00 ? 0:00 sh -c
/usr/local/backup/backup_script > /dev/null 2>&1
root 4173 253 0 17:00:00 ? 0:00 sh -c
/usr/local/backup/backup_script > /dev/null 2>&1
Why is there 2 processes of the script ??
It is currently running and this is the output of top -
last pid: 4382; load averages: 0.75, 0.76, 0.54

And I didn't expect there to be this many entries of ufsdump in the top
output and also using this much of the CPU.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me please ??
