Ok, the EMC support matrix says MPxIO is not currently suported with MPxIO
(aka StorEdge Traffic Manager) but I thought I try it anyway.
Machine is a V440 with two Sun supplied Qlogic 2Gbit fibre HBA cards, each
connected to a EMC Symmetrix box. I can see 5 LUNs on each card just fine.
So I set mpxio-disable to "no" in scsi_vhci.conf, and put in the appropiate
vender/product string in device-type-scsi-options-list. After reboot,
it decides to create two new disks, each with five paths to it! Of course,
it should be 5 disks with 2 paths each.
Is this end of story? Should I wait for EMC to support MPxIO? I want to
avoid PowerPath or Veritas DMP.
