Hello:
I have an E250, running Solaris 9, with Sendmail not running as a Daemon
mode.
I just want this box to periodically mail reports back to me via my main
mailhub from Cron.
With Solaris 8, I could just define the DS variable in
/etc/mail/sendmail.cf like this
DSmailhost.mydomain.com
Then I could test like this:
# /usr/lib/sendmail -v myaddress@mydomain.com
But when I try on this Solaris 9 box, I get the following error:
# /usr/lib/sendmail -v myaddress@mydomain.com
test message
.
myaddress@mydomain.com... Connecting to localhost via relay...
myaddress@mydomain.com... Deferred: Connection refused by localhost
#
So what is it that I have overlooked to get this to work? I do not want
sendmail running as a process on this box.
Thanks to all in advance,
Bryan
