nic speed

On Sun 480 R running Solaris 9, The nic type is ce and when I run ndd to
check the link_speed

#ndd -get /dev/ce link_speed
operation failed: Invalid argument

what is the problem here? Does ce driver not support ndd?, if so how do we
check the speed and also the link_status on the nic card?

Any ideas?
