Many thanks to all who answered (Bill, Joe, Darren, Lewis, Dagobert &
Judith) so quickly !

The key is to get the physical name of the device, and then compare it to
Sun documentation to find what slot it maps to :

The device I was looking for was the controler of the c2t0d0s0 disk drive:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root other 66 Dec 6 2000 /dev/rdsk/c2t0d0s0
-> ../../devices/pci@1f,2000/SUNW,ifp@1/ssd@w22000020372d0fc0,0:a,raw

When you look up this list : (Infodoc 21216)

------
Ultra Enterprise 450

PCI Slot 1 /pci@6,4000/<device>@4,*
33mhz-32/64bit-5V

-------

I can see that my device maps to PCI Slot 5 and that I won't have to
unplug cables to find out :D

Again, many thanks to everyone !

Subject: PCI Device to PCI Slot mapping ?

Hi,

Is there a tool (or tools) that can help to figure out in which pci slot
is a device located ?

Using prtconf, I can figure out on which pci bus the device is located,
but now which slot ?!?

I'm running Solaris 2.6 on an Enterprise 450

Thanks !
