Hi,

I have x1:

Netra T1 200 (UltraSPARC-IIe 500MHz), No Keyboard
OpenBoot 4.0, 1024 MB memory installed, Serial #51122083.
Ethernet address 0:3:ba:c:f:a3, Host ID: 830c0fa3.

and x2

Netra t1 (UltraSPARC-IIi 440MHz), No Keyboard
OpenBoot 3.10.27 ME, 256 MB memory installed, Serial #12751028.
Ethernet address 8:0:20:c2:90:b4, Host ID: 80c290b4.

The two Netra T1 440MHz machines, do not have cdrom drives.

As such I used the Netra T1 200 to install Solaris 8 2/02 (also tried 4/01 +
patches) on a Seagate Cheetah drive.

When trying to boot either one of the two Netras from the Seagate Cheetah drives
I get as far as the system wanting to run an fsck on the disk, then freezes.

Now, since I dont have a cdrom in either one of the machines, I am going to try
a network install. (I cant get into single user mode or the like on either one
of the 440Mhz machines.

For future reference I would like to create an install image however in order to
speed up things.

Is it possible to create a hardware independant image for Solaris machines or am
I going to have to
come up with seperate images for each (in this case two) box?

Any help, tips and/or pointers would be appreciated.

Regards,
