Hello,
Situation: Can't see EMC disks on new e4500 server.
Trying to upgrade a db (running veritas) from an e420
with disks in an emc symmetrix to an e4500 (solaris
9). The new e4500 has two JNI FCE2-1473 fiber cards in
it. After deporting the disks from the e420/emc we
attached the fiber cable to this jni card (the other
end still in the same emc port). The lights on the
card and the emc port are on. Having updated the
drivers & firmware for the JNI cards on the e4500,
boot -r and devfsadm -C we still have the problem -
format doesn't display the disks from the EMC. sd.conf
has an entry for the jni driver but not the disks:
name="sd" parent="jnic146x" target=0;
Any suggestions, tips or questions would be helpful.
