Hi - has anyone seen the error I seem to be getting as outlined below?

**

Your "cron" job on xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
/usr/lib/sa/sa1

produced the following output:

sadc: can't lock data file: Resource temporarily unavailable

**

Platform:
Sun E220R 512mb RAM
Solaris 9 - 112233-11

The crontab for "sys" was editied to enable system activity reporting and the
sa1 job above runs every 30 mins. The data file being referred to is
/var/adm/sa/sa04 - todays for example. And is owned by "sys:sys". Running the
sar command from the prompt also shows some strange activity every 30 mins.

                %usr %sys %wio %idle
12:00:00 8 7 3 83
12:00:00 36 64 0 0
12:10:00 9 6 2 82
12:20:00 8 6 2 84
12:30:00 7 6 2 84
12:30:00 0 100 0 0
12:40:00 8 7 3 83

The idle% going to "0" every 30 mins, this coincides with the sa1 job then?
Running "/usr/lib/sa/sa1" from the command line appears to work fine every
time, just from cron where it seems to error.

Thanks in advance - J.
