Dear Sun Managers,

I need some pointer and clarification on this.

When df -g show:
/data03 (/dev/md/dsk/d73 ): 8192
block size
1024 frag size
120324236 total blocks 53337766 free blocks 52134524
available
14470400 total files
9232378 free files 22282313 filesys id
     ufs fstype 0x00000004 flag 255
filename length

How does it classify a block to be free block and
available? What does free bloacks and available means
and what are the differences? Does the free block
means the block are totally empty or else where?

If the data block is used by a 1 byte file only, does
the system report the block as free block or used
block?

fstyp shows nbfree is zero but df -g shows there are
available and free block. Not quite sure how they are
related.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Andrew
