Another Locale problem (Stumped)

Folks,

On one Solaris 8 machine I have the following locale settings; but if I run
the following command (rsh shg1ap05 '(/usr/bin/date)' from another system,
it returns the date in EST. "Example: Wed Mar 3 10:25:24 EST 2004". What
could be happening? Running the date command locally gives the correct
information (shg1ap05:/# /usr/bin/date OUTPUT = Wed Mar 3 23:34:31 CST
2004). Any help?

# This file is /etc/default/init. /etc/TIMEZONE is a symlink to this file.
# This file looks like a shell script, but it is not. To maintain
# compatibility with old versions of /etc/TIMEZONE, some shell constructs
# (i.e., export commands) are allowed in this file, but are ignored.
