Hello,
I've purchased a refurbished Ultra 10 333 MHz that came with no
graphics card. I ordered a Creator 3 (FFB2+) card for it, but when I
installed it, there was no response on the monitor. The monitor is a
21 inch Sun monitor, also refurbished, but it works. I realize that
the graphics card itself may be bad, but is there anything I need to do
to configure it? Shouldn't the machine discover it on reboot ( I did a
boot -r) and self configure the kernel? Are there any low -level
parameters that I need to set? The serial video out port works with a
VGA display, and I've checked the cable connection to the Sun monitor
on another machine, and it's working.
