Hello to all Sun professionals,
In the context of a performance measurement project,
I catch all data we need in a Oracle DB via Sun Management Center.
The most systems are E10Ks with lots of disks and CPUs,
for this we use a 60 sec. time interval, the result is to much data
on the database.
My question is, how does the System track the data, i. e.
if Solaris tracks only the average between two high resolution time stamps,
(entry and out)
the 300 sec. results must be the same as 60 sec.
What time resolution should we use for best results?
PS. The way SunMC catches data is the same as iostat, vmstat, etc.
Thank you in advance
Yours sincerely,
Ramiro Santos
