Hi,
Just testing peoples memory.
Anybody out there that would know anything about a possible disk size limit
on Solaris V2.3?
I was told that in that version of Solaris there seems to be a 40-50GB max
size that the O/S will see per disk (not per filesystem).
That means if you install a 100GB disk in a Solaris2.3 system you will only
be able to use 40-50GB of it.
Even if you would parition it in smaller chunks.
Can anybody confirm this?
Does anybody knows a 'quick' fix for this?
Does anybody recall what Solaris V2.3 is ....:)
Kind Regards,
Bart
PS: Yes, I know the sensible thing to do is to upgrade the system, but
sometimes you don't have time for the sensible things
