Hello! Thanks for all who replied. I got a lot of replies. The answers are to use the following:
 
lsof
/usr/bin/pfiles ---> you shld have solaris 8 or 9 installed to have this
 
Infodoc 17236: Determining what files are open and what
                processes are keeping them open
