Sun 3960 (T3) SAN and Cisco MDS 9500 series?

Is anyone out there using a Sun StorEdge 3960 "SAN" and/or T3B bricks with
a Cisco MDS 9500 series switch
(http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/ps4159/ps4358/index.html)?

We currently have two sites about 30 miles apart from each other with
fiber between them. Currently we are using some of the fiber for gigabit
network bandwidth between the sites. We have fiber that we want to
utilize for DR purposes (remote backups, mirrors, etc).

My network guys tell me that with the right hardware, we can get 8gb
bandwidth or more between the sites. They want to implement this Cisco
9500 series switch to tie our fiber channel (at both sites) into the
network.

My question is, can we tie our T3s into this switch (at both sites) which
would result in one large SAN accessible from anywhere? The Cisco
switches would also service our Win/NT fiber channel needs as well as tape
backup for both NT and Solaris. I know about the horrors of NT and
Solaris in the same zone (don't do it!) but Cisco says they have VSANs
(simliar to VLANs) which would divide up the traffic. This switch would
also provide access to the storage via ISCSI and possibly FCIP. I know
some of our newer servers have FCIP ports but I don't have any experience
with ISCSI on Solaris.

I have some meetings set up to talk to our Sun guys about this in more
depth but was wondering if anyone out there is doing anything simliar to
this... will it work or are we pipe dreaming?

Thanks
