Hi,

Our box has the following information:

uname -a:
SunOS XXXXX 5.8 Generic_108528-29 sun4u sparc SUNW,UltraAX-i2

I installed 108993-31 and then rebooted the box and the following message came up:

Boot device: /pci@1f,0/pci@1/scsi@8/disk@0,0 File and args:
SunOS Release 5.8 Version Generic_108528-29 64-bit

I found some reference to a problem found with patches 108993-27 to 108993-30 (Bug id 4947516) which was supposedly fixed in 108993-31. In that bug, the impact led to inability to go into single user mode. The impact of the problem for us was that the network interfaces did not get configured, hence affecting connectivity.

Any idea as to how this issue can be resolved?

I can provide 'showrev -p' output if required but it is lengthy...

Thanks in advance.
