UPDATE: rcp - permission denied

As per below's post. forgot to mention a few things -

YES - I have configured .rhosts AND hosts.equiv on BOTH servers (did both
just to set my mind at ease)

I can ping both servers hostnames from each other

I have tried this as both a regular user AND as root.

Any ideas would be grateful.

Hi All,

Something has me stumped and after reading man pages etc, I'm not sure what
is going wrong !!

I am having the same problem as this, which was in Sunmanagers archive -

http://www.sunmanagers.org/archives/2000/0526.html

I have added dns to /etc/nsswitch.conf as suggested in this fix, but still
can't rcp from system1 to system2, but can the other way around !!

Any suggestions??
Thanks in advance
Trev
