rtvc (SunVideo) problem

Hi!

i encountered a weird problem with my SunVideo card (SBUS in sparc10,
prom2.10): after a fresh installation of Solaris 8 it said:

WARNING: rtvc0 region "wbus" failed at word address 0x8 (8)
WARNING: rtvc0 Error detected; board resetting

Well, that's it. after the bootup i did not have a /dev/rtvc0 device, but
the 'rtvc-verify' tool from the SUNWrtvc package said the card would be
perfectly installed. When the system now boots, it does not show this
message again, but there is still no /dev/rtvc0 file, which is essential for
getting any video input.

Googling the web did not lead to any results, and the rtvc driver does not
seem to be included in the solaris source distribution :-/

Did anybody of you maybe see that kind of problem or have suggestions on how
i could get the card to work? (different sbus slot does not work, no ;)

thanks!

-hendrik

PS: what is 'wbus' really?
