Slow response after rlogin

Hi all,
 
I am using a Solaris 8 workstation.When ever I do 'rlogin' to another station, I find that there is some sort of hesitation between keyboard & the display.There is no delay when I rlogin or when it requests for a password, It happens when I randomly type some characters at the command prompt and when I try to delete it.Please suggest me the possible reason for this & the solution to this.
