Memtool Solaris 2.6:
http://playground.sun.com/pub/memtool

On some Solaris 2.6 installations... I can load the kernel
module for MemTool. Howerver on others I can't... has anyone
seen this problem and knows a solution?

Most of the applications work... but the ones that depend on the
loadable module do not. Here is a working copy:

/opt/RMCmem/drv/bunyipload to load the module
/opt/RMCmem/drv/bunyipunload to unload the module

Working systems:
SunOS memworks 5.6 Generic_105181-31 sun4u sparc
SUNW,Ultra-5_10

Not Working systems:
SunOS memnogood 5.6 Generic_105181-35 sun4u sparc
SUNW,Ultra-Enterprise

memnogood #./prtmem
The MemTool device driver is not loaded
Run /opt/RMCmem/drv/bunyipload to load the driver

memnogood #/opt/RMCmem/drv/bunyipload
can't load module: No such file or directory

the script is the same, the module is there! However, we always
get can't load module: No such file or directory. Running the
working and non-working version through ksh -x
/opt/RMCmem/drv/bunyipload shows they are the same.

Any ideas? The only difference we see is the patch level of the
system and in particular the kernel patch level.

Carlos
