Hi All,

I want to use my entire EIDE 20GB hard drive. Currently, I have Solaris
8 installed on an Ultra 5 and I can only see 8GB.
I noticed a hit in the archive that deals with this issue. So I tried
running the command:

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/rdsk/c0t1d0s2 bs=1b count=16
it did some things like 16 in 16 out then back to the command prompt.
Ok that went well.
Then I rebooted the machine and it will not come back up.
I know this erases the disk, so I stuck in my Solaris 8 installation CD
and tried a reboot cdrom.
Now the machine just keeps rebooting forever and ever. It gets through
the memory check then splits out a bunch of zeroes
and reboots.

Any help will be most appreciated.
