filesystem cache problem

Hello all,

We have been bothered by a NFS client problem for a while.

In our environment, we have several solaris 2.5.1 NFS clients. After the nfs
server rebooted, the mount point on client is locked. I have tried to
umount,rename,fuser,lockfs,restart nfs.client daemon,kill name cache, which
don't work. The only solution is rebooting the server.

After tracing the umount process, it is trying to read certain vnodes, which
don't exist any more since NFS server has restarted. I suspect the information
is cached somewhere.

Is there any other way to solve this problem other than rebooting machine?

Thanks,

carl
