NFS Performance with multiple network interfaces

Hi,

I am buying v1280 and a NetApp FAS250. Both have two 1000baseT network
interfaces.

I know that a single gig interface is probably faster than will ever be
needed on this server but ...

Is there any way to get the NFS traffic to load balance over the two
physical interfaces on each box?

The two boxes will talk to each other through a switch.
Trunking (802.3ad link aggregation, vif) will calculate which physical
interface to send traffic out based on:-
        source and/or destination IP address
or source and/or destination MAC address
or round robin

Round Robin is probably not acceptable because according to Sun's
documentation it "may have an impact on performance since the temporal
ordering of packets is not observed."

IPMP (Sun's IP Multipathing) will do something undisclosed which sounds like
"source and/or destination IP address" for outgoing traffic.

Therefore the traffic between one server and one client will always follow
the same path connection after connection.

Is there anyway to spread the traffic?
Is there any reason to buy Sun Trunking over using IPMP?

NFS will be probably be configured as
        "hard,intr,proto=udp,vers=3,rsize=32768,wsize=32768".

Thanks for you feed back.

Richard
