(SUMMARY): How to do un-mirrored disk replacement without loss of data?

Here is the summary:
        There are couple ways of achieving it,
        (1) Backup to the tape using ufsdump and ufsrestore to the new disk
        (2) tar up each file system and untar it on the new disk.
        (3) Using NFS to copy all the data to the another server.

        My case was much more complicated, I just had to try and error
different methods before come to any of the methods shown above.
