Server-free Backup

Hi Managers,

We have a switch fabric SAN (Brocade switches, Sun servers and a storagetek
tape library ).

We are looking at ways of doing server-free backup and one of the products
we looked at was Celestra. This works fine with DLM, but will not work (or
is not supported with MPxIO).

Does anybody have any views on how to achieve server-free backup in a SAN
topology? What products are available? Are there any URLs or white papers
on DLM and MPxIO that anybody knows of (just so I can figure out what the
differences are)?

Any thoughts on "best of breed" or "best practice"?

Will summarise.
