How to do un-mirrored disk replacement without loss of data?

Gurus,
        I have an Enterprise 4500 running SUN OS 5.6. Currently there is a
bad disk ( c1t1d0) which is not mirrored. As you can see below. It is
attached to D1000. What is the safest and fastest way to perform the disk
replacement without data loss?
        I can still see the files on those particular file systems of the
bad disk. However, there is a slowness whenever I try to do commands, e.g.
format. Also, I am getting /var/tmp/XXXXX I/O Error when I try to VI a
file.
