Hi,

     Recently, acquired some seagate ST318203FC.
These were not Sun distributed drives, but match
exactly what can be used within an A5200. After
putting the disks into the storage unit, tried to
upgrade the firmware to the latest firmware release.
Unfortunately, it comes up with saying that "no drives
to update". The disks format, label, slice, and
access just fine. But would like to upgrade the
firmware, due to sometimes enhancements that allow
better performance and access.

When looking at a inqury, the disks show that
they are Clarion type disks I believe.

I tried the method that Glenn, May had discovered
with several people, with no luck. His link:

Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks
