I have a department with more systems than users, and I'd like to
centralize account management. Normally, one would use yp, nis+ or ldap.
However, I would like to do account management using the local files.
Essentially, I was going to keep a central system with users accounts and
push out their accounts and dot files via scp to the other systems. Using
some perl magic, it wouldn't be so hard. But why re-invent the wheel. Does
anyone know of some software like this? Thank you for your help.
