Crontab file syntax checker?

Hey kids,

Ever heard of anything like this?

In this particular environment, I've got a crontab file, with like 400 lines
in it. (Don't get me started, it sucks beyond belief) The crontab file is
monitored by Veritas Cluster, and cron for this user is setup as a service in
VCS.
I've got to make changes to that file it seems like daily, and I've had it
happen once or twice where if there is a typo in the crontab file, (extra
comma, blank line.. etc.) VCS freaks out and brings down the cluster.

Anyway is there any utility out there that will read thru a file and make sure
it is in the proper format for a crontab file?

Thanks!

Gene Siepka
