Some people ask what to do if LDAP is not there or I need to boot to single
user mode.
Well, what if you put in /etc/nsswitch.conf:
ldap files
Doesn't it mean that if LDAP is not availalbe OS will get root from
/etc/passwd, assuming
I know local passwd stored in shadow file?
LK
All,
We're planning LDAP directory based on SUN One Directory Server.
I an interested in other people's experience -
do you manage root in LDAP or locally in /etc/passwd?
What are the pros and cons?
Regards,
Leon
