Problem description:

SMC Tivoli TEC adapter does not forward events to
Tivoli TEC when started using the command line
parameters mode.

Product:

Sun Management Center Tivoli TEC Adapter

Version:

Sun Management Center 3.5

OS :

Solaris 8.

Details:

The SMC TEC is working when started using the GUI
window; started with the following command:

/opt/SUNWsymon/addons/Tivoli/sbin/SunMC_Tivoli start

In that mode, the events reach the TEC with no
problem.

But it is NOT working when it is started using the
command line parameters (no GUI); started with the
following:

/opt/SUNWsymon/addons/Tivoli/sbin/SunMC_Tivoli start
c smc.conf u smcuser

Everything starts well with no error. But the events
NEVER reach the TEC.

1. Is it a known problem and are there any patches to
apply?

2. Is there any logging/tracing facility that we could
enable to try to debug it?
