I have a Sun 3800 running Solaris 8 with a SunSwift CE0 (PCI gigabit
inerface). There are times when I see only 100 input packets or less on
the CE0 inerface, usually there are thousands or tens of thousands of
input packets. When the server is rebooted, the CE0 inerface does not
come up (can not ping the CE0 interface) and it takes several reboots get
the CE0 interface to come up normal. I have never seen any type of errors
on the CE0 interface using 'netstat -i' or netstat -k ce0' commands.
There are only two packages installed SUNWced and SUNWcedx. Should there
be additional pacakges installed on the CE0 interface? The patch version
for the CE0 interface is 111883-17. Thank youDaryl Garvey The following
packages are installed: SUNWced Sun GigaSwift Ethernet Adapter (32-bit
Driver) VERSION: 1.0,REV=2001.05.04
SUNWcedx Sun GigaSwift Ethernet Adapter (64-bit Driver) VERSION:
1.0,REV=2001.05.04 The configuration file is at
/platform/sun4u/kernel/drv/ce.conf
adv_autoneg_cap=0 adv_1000fdx_cap=1 adv_1000hdx_cap=0 adv_100fdx_cap=0
adv_100hdx_cap=0 adv_10fdx_cap=0 adv_10hdx_cap=0;
