Hi ,
I have recently upgraded solaris 2.6 to Solaris 8 on ultra
10.Now
i am facing problem in EOD drive.
I am using " ARTEeod " package to add the driver and eod
utilities..
This version is of solaris 2.6.In solaris 2.6 everthing works
fine.
But when i tried to add this package to solaris 8 .I am getting
the follwing error.
"
devfsadm:driver failed to attach :eod
warning :driver loaded properly
"
What i feel is that this could be driver problem not supporting
in
solaris 8.I am using "Maxoptix T4-1300 "
EOD drive .
Anyone have some idea where i will get the solaris 8 driver for
this drive or Solaris 8 version of ARTEeod package.?

ANSWER:
dothill.com is the company who develop ARTEeod package for EOD
drives.At present they have only drivers for upto Soalris 2.6/7
.This will not support under solaris 8 .
Another option is to boot into 32 bit mode and adding the
package.
I deleberatly did not send the mail 2-3 times as mentioned by some
readers.
