Solstice Backup 6.1 performance tuning

Here's the setup: E450 hooked to 2xSun L20s with a total of 4 Ultrium LTO
tape drives running Solaris 8. This backup server is connected via gigabit
ethernet to a server with about 400-500GB of data. When performing a raw
local dump to the drives using ufsdump, we can get about 9MB/S transfer speed,
but when we use Solstice to backup the one/singular client over the gigabit
link we are averaging only about 1.2MB/S. We've increased the server
parallelisms to the max (32), and target sessions and client parallelisms are
set to 8. Also, savegrp parallelisms are set to 20. Any clues on increasing
performance?

Thanks,

Alan
