disk problems

Hi dear partners:

        I install a new disk in a E450 whit Solaris 8, and cant4n mount, i make
this:

  Format > format that disk

newfs -v /dev/dsk/c0t8d0s0
and send this I/O error

later if i want mount that disk:

mount /dev/dsk/c0t8d0s0 /directory

and send I/O error

and can4t mount...

any ideas?
