Hi Guys,
I've got linux Redhat7.2 machine client of Solaris server.
I couldn't have NIS map automounted after reboot, I should each time
start manually the autofs daemon /etc/init.d/autofs start.
The autofs daemon is however configured to start at boot, chkconfig
command showes ON status for level 3,4 and 5.
The status of autofs after reboot tells that there is "Configured Mount
Points" but found nothing for "Active Mount points".
Thus I should add entries on /etc/auto.master file for my NIS maps to be
taken in effect afterr reboot.
My problem is that I don't appreciate such solution to modify each
auto.master file for all my servers, moreover I have been able to setup
few months ago many linux boxes with no intervention on this file, the
only difference between the 2 cases is that, this time the NIS server
and the linux clients aren't on same subnet.
Any idea?
