Has anyone tried to upgrade to Veritas Database Edition 3.5 with a T3 attached
via SCSI? I attempted the upgrade in the lab, and it worked fine, but I wasn't
testing with a T3 but rather an older Sun Ultra Scsi Array attached to the sun
server.
Here are the facts:
1/ Solaris 8
2. 108528-27
3. attempted installation of 111096-07, 111097-13, 111095-14, and then
111413-11. When the system comes up, I get a barrage of errors which are a
result of the server not being able to load the module 'fcp'.
4. none of the T3 filesystems come up, but Veritas volumes that are attached
internally do.
5. Current versions: VXVM 3.1 and VXFS 3.4. Would like to upgrade to VXVM 3.2
and VXFS 3.5
Before the patch installation, I could modinfo | grep fcp and get output, but
afterwards, I get no output.
If you have any thoughts, I can provide more information.
