Sun Blade 100 Headless Mode Problem

We have a Sun Blade 100 connected through a Belkin monitor switch.
Unfortunately, if the Sun Blade is rebooted, it thinks that it
should be in headless mode - ie no monitor attached. Is there
a way around this and can the machine be taken out of headless
mode without rebooting?
