Hi gurus,
I have a strange problem here with the automountd.
Machine is a E250, running Solaris 8, uname -a reads:
SunOS pieris 5.8 Generic_108528-20 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-250
Yesterday, the system crashed due to a power outage, and after booting it
up, automountd refuses to run...
/var/adm/messages shows messages like "automountd not running, retrying...",
and ps -ef | grep auto shows that there's no automountd...
I tried to start the automountd from the commandline, to get a more verbose
description, with the following result:

Since we're using the automountd to mount the home-dirs, a login to the
machine is no longer possible, except of some special accounts like root...
Before the crash, everything was running fine, and of course we haven't
changed anything...
Any suggestions or ideas are welcome, :-)
